- [Instructor] Whilst the 2D viewing Substance Designer gives us a quick and easy way to view the output of any node, it can also give feedback that can help with choices when it comes time to edit our textures. One such piece of feedback is the ability to get a precise readout regarding the color information in our texture. To see what I mean by that, let's come down to the bottom of the 2D view where we have the information button. There's represented by the letter i. If we click on that, we open a readout that as we then move our cursor across the image, in the 2D view, gives us feedback on the contained colors in the form of both integer and floating point RGB and HSV number sets. Now, whilst this may to some not seem like particularly useful functionality, if we have a director, supervisor, or client who needs a very specific color or shade in the material, then this tool gives us the ability to check whether or not our color values are being passed down the texture chain…
