Creating the damage outline, part 1
- [Instructor] When it comes to producing images for our architectural visualization projects, there is a pretty high likelihood that the textures we create will all need to be shiny and new. That having been said, as we're never absolutely sure what a project will need until we are on it, but what we will look at adding here is a damaged element to our material that can easily be removed should we not want to include it. And to make a start at adding such an effect we can once again turn to our trusty scratch generator. And this time add it to the details frame. We will use this as the base shape, so the spline number we will set to around 18 as we don't want to overdo the damaged areas. The max segment can be set to 128 if it is not already. Spline scale can be set to 0.08 as we don't want the damage to be too large. Spline width we will set to about 9.59. A width random of about 0.4 should give us some size…
