- [Instructor] Remapping gray scale information into other useful data types can be a real lifesaver in Substance Designer when it comes to creating shapes and patterns that we may need for our textures. The Curve Node, for instance, cannot only do this for us, but do it via an easy to use interface. And this Node being very useful for creating height maps that can be used to create anything from shaped organic details to architectural elements. As we come to our nav point number seven, and you will notice that this time we don't have our Node in question already created. Here, we will see how we can use this Node to change the shape of our stones. Instead of stones, we will actually be creating tiny barnacle-like shapes to scatter.
