How to make environment and lighting changes
- [Instructor] When it comes to actually creating materials, all of the options that we have looked at so far are pretty important. One aspect of the material creation process that we definitely don't want to overlook is that of the environment that our material is being viewed in whilst being created, as this can make a massive difference to the end result that we see. Using the wrong type of environment for the creation of a texture could, for instance, lead to over- or under-compensating in our material settings, such as making our coolers a little too saturated or our reflectivity levels a little too low, simply because we used an environment that either over-accentuates our downplays the amount of reflectivity or color in a material. The question then is how do we go about controlling these factors? Well, first of all, let's take a look at how we can either adjust or change the environment map that is being used…
