Making good use of the Scene menu
- [Instructor] The 3D view has a number of menu options that can not only help make our material creation a little easier, but can also help us get a good sense of how our texture will react to light when placed on different surfaces. If we open up the first of our menus, the option that we see at the top of the list is the edit button, which when clicked, let's switch the display for different mesh types in our 3D view. As it stands, there is only one enter. So if we click the true button for the is enabled option, we can see that it turns on and off in the viewport. Now this can be very handy if we have multiple objects that textures are being applied to, inside a substance package. Coming to the scene menu, we can see that first of all, we have a selection of basic mesh types, that can be used in the viewport, each of which are good for helping keep the viewport fast and responsive, which as we click through updates…
