Patterns with the Shape Mapper
- [Instructor] With our zero five Mapper pins set as the focus we're going to look, in this video, at the Shape Mapper node, which let's us take the pixels of an input shape and duplicate and distort that shape based on another. To see how this works, let's first select our Shape Mapper node, hit the backspace key and then after selecting the histogram scan node, press the space bar key and search for the word shape. We do have several options that can be used here but as we're interested in the just the Shape Mapper node for now, let's add that to the graph. Over in the properties window, we can see that we have a few parameters to choose from and we should also notice that our graph output has a different look to it. This is because we are now mapping our input pattern to a shape that can be selected from the shape dropdown. So, either a circle, as is currently the case, or a polygon. In the polygon options, the very first thing we can do is set how many times our pattern will be…
