Publishing a substance

- Once we have learnt how to use Substance Designer to create textures and materials, we will no doubt want to use those substances inside a host application. Whether that be a game engine such as Unreal or a DCC application such as Houdini, 3DS Max or whatever. What we are going to be looking at over the next two videos then is how to both export and then use a substance file in the Unreal Engine 4. With our substance graph still open, let's come to the explorer section of the UI, right click on the substance package and from the list that appears, choose the 'Publish .sbsar file' option. Now it should be noted that all substance graphs found inside the current package will be exported now. So, for example, we have a separate graph creating me flower shapes on the texture and this too will be exported, which is good as this is needed for the final result.
