Creating the dirt material

- In this video, we're gonna create a dirt material that we use or apply to all texture sets to do kind of like this final integration of everything together. So if we look at our texture sets here, you can see that I'm on this back set. And this is what I'm gonna start with. So here I'm gonna come in and I'm gonna create a fill, and we're gonna call this dirt. Now in this case you can see that we're getting that issue where even though I have the height map and it's set to zero height, it's still, height from layers below it are being passed up through because of the height being set to linear dodge. That's okay, because this is like a dirt layer on top and I don't want to override any of that height information. So first let's start by picking a color here. So I'm just gonna try to come up with some kinda color that I feel like is gonna work for what I wanna do. And of course we can always go back and tweak this again. So here's a color, let's set our roughness up pretty high. So…
