Setting up a shader
- [Instructor] In this video, we're gonna take a look at shader settings and creating a shader instance. So, here on our toolbar, if I click this Shader button, this takes us here to the Shader Settings. At the top we have a button. If I click this, it opens up that mini shelf. Here you can see that it's being filtered based on shader. So, the mini shelf shows all of the shaders that we can work with here in our Substance Painter project. By default, this is the one that we're using when we created the project, which is this pbr metallic roughness. Now, if I just close out this mini shelf here, you can see that the shader parameters are listed here and we have some common parameters, such as like AO Intensity, the quality. This is talking about the samples per pixel. So, for example, if we wanted to set this to something like say High, 64 samples per pixel, we could do that. Here we also have some other settings, as well as Subsurface Scattering, Parallax Occlusion Mapping, and so on.…
