Using particle brushes to good effect

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to use Substance Painter's particle brushes to see how these can help us add another level of realism to our models and textures. And this, as you probably have guessed, will be painting with particles. Now, this particular asset isn't really suited to this kind of wear and tear and realism adding to it unless of course it has been sat outside in the rain for a very long amount of time or has been sat under a car that is leaking and spilling oil everywhere. But what we really want to take away from this video is that Substance Painter will allow us to emit tiny points that will then be affected by gravity, have a lifetime or life span before they die, and also have a speed setting. This, as I'm sure you will agree, opens up a whole new level of realism to painting textures. Again, we're going to be using an extreme example here, but subtle uses are oftentimes much better in…
