Overview of tripod moves

- Tripod shots are cameras with no translation. Because there is no translation there's no depth information or parallax. So you wont be able to get a true 3D scene. We can still solve the camera for these kind of shots but you'll have to take a slightly different approach when using it with 3D objects. So let's see how we can set these up. Now the set up for a Tripod is pretty much the same as any other shot, the only thing we really need to do is change either here in the summary panel turn that to on Tripod or in the Solver tab change your technique to Tripod. Everything else is about the same. So we will want to change our world size to be a ruff estimate of the world, and our focal length if we have it. So those are the basic settings for setting up a Tripod. And now we ready to start tracking and solving the camera.
