Using Calculate Lens Distortion

- When you don't have lens grids, you'll have to depend on the calculate lens distortion in SynthEyes. Note that the more camera information you have, the better for these calculations. If you have the focal length and the sensor size, that can greatly improve the results with your calculations. Let's see how this works. Let's go over to the lens tab, and turn on the calculate distortion. Go back over to the summary, and we're going to do an auto track to see the results. When it's done, press OK, and we'll go back over to lens, and you see that we have a lens distortion of .005. Now if we leave this calculate distortion on, even as we refined it's going to keep on changing this value, so you probably want to leave this on until we have a decent solve. If for some reason though, you find that lens distortion value is what you like, you can just turn this off and the distortion value will stay the same. Let's see what happens when we refine.
