Setting up alerts

- [Instructor] Alerts in System Center Configuration Manager are generated by certain operations when a specific condition occurs. You can receive an alert when there's an error or even just a warning that you may have a problem. If you go to monitoring on the left hand side as you see here and then click on active alerts, we can see if there are any alerts for which we need to be concerned. Since there are no active alerts, for which I'm very grateful, we'll click on all alerts. Now here are the list of the different types of alerts that we could see. We see that they're never triggered or in this case, postponed. Let's double click on one that's been never triggered and we can see that it's going to warn us if critical low free space happens beneath five gigabytes. Now I can say, you know, five gigabytes is not really what I want. Let's change that to 10. So I've basically just changed that alert to have a new…
