- Let's build a data story from our sample data set. Now the key features of a data story dashboard are it's built for insight. We're going to be presenting an answer to the user. We might be making a case for change or persuade them to do something different. A data story tends to be multiple dashboards connected into a narrative or it could be a single dashboard but different views of it. So for our example, what do we need to do? We want to to examine the data set and see if there are any trends over time that we need to be aware of. We want to show any good or bad weeks due to sales and any products or location that were involved. Ultimately, do we need to make any changes in how our company works? Remember, why are we building this dashboard? It's to provide insight and change. So in our dataset we already have some sheets and we have some dashboards ready built.
