- [Instructor] Let's look at our example dataset and build an exploratory dashboard. Now, the key things to remember about an exploratory dashboard is that they tend to include several sheets or views. The idea is to explore the data, so we want to present the data in an easy to understand way, so that people can find answers. Exploratory dashboards are going to have a high level of interaction, because we need to enable our user to drill down into the data. Typically, that might involve things like filters, actions, and highlights. An exploratory dashboard is usually one single dashboard that has many uses. So, for our example dashboard, this is the brief that we've been given. We need to look at the last three years worth of sales data, we need to show regional variations, we're going to be looking for peak sale periods, and we need to identify any good or bad customers.
