Build an informative dashboard

Lets build an informative dashboard from our sales data set. Now, the key features of an informative dashboard are that it's all about specific information. We're going to explore the data and present the data but make it easy to find answers. There's going to be a level of interaction but, importantly the dashboard is more focused on answering one single question, rather than a multi-purpose dashboard to be able to explore the data. So in our example, we want to examine the sales data for California. We're interested in knowing how well technology sells, how many sales do we make in each city, and to be able to identify any good or bad customers, and in particular, we're interested to know what are the top 10 technological products for each of our subcategories. Remember, why are we building this dashboard? It's to provide information about specific questions.
