Challenge 6: Data sampling
(electronic whooshing) - [Instructor] Here's a challenge about data sampling. You're going to want to look at the 07_03 Challenge file. In there, we've already got a connection to our flight data. So first thing to do is explore that data to get a feel of what it looks like. Next, we want to change it so instead of looking at the full data set we're looking at a sample of about 100,000 rows using the quick sampling method. Have a look at the distribution and see how that changes from the full data set. What is the minimum and maximum year that you're looking at? Next, import another copy of that same data set, the Full Flight Delays.csv file. This time, use a random sample of 100,000 records for the second data set. Lastly, compare the two distributions as see the differences in each sampling method. This should take you about five minutes.
