Changing the appearance of your data

- [Instructor] When you create a visualization in Tableau, it's important that you get everything looking just right. A little bit of formatting can help your colleagues understand your data more effectively. And in this movie, I will show you how to apply formatting to the contents of a visualization. My sample file is the ChangeAppearance workbook, and you can find it in the chapter nine folder of your exercise files collection. This visualization is a tree map, and you can see that it's based on the color blue. I'll hide the show me palette so that you can get the full effect of the visualization. If you want to change the formatting of the items within the body of the visualization then you can do that by going to the Marks card. And here, you can change the style of the presentation or visualization, or you can change the color, size, label, detail, and tooltip of the items within the visualization.
