Combining fields to sort by more than one criteria

- [Instructor] Sorting data using the value in a single field, such as state or city, is appropriate for most cases. However, you also might want to sort data using values from more than one field. In this movie, I will show you how to combine fields to sort using more than one criteria. My sample file is the Combine workbook, and you can find it in the Chapter06 folder of the Exercise Files collection. This workbook contains a text table. And it's organized by state and then city, and then by expense. What I'd like to do is combine the State and City fields so that they are one. To do that, I can go over to the Dimensions part of the Data tab, and then select the two fields I want to combine. So first, I'll click Property State, and then I'll hold down the Control key, and click Property City. Then I'll right-click either one of them. In this case, I'll go with State.
