Connecting to multiple files
- Prep doesn't just work with one input file at a time. We can input multiple files and preform multiple steps on them to produce one or more outputs. Let's have a look at this in action. I'm going to connect to the XL file. This Spielberg ratings which you can find in the exercise files. There are two sheets in this XL file. One called audience scores, and one called critic scores. First off, I'm going to drag the audience scores into my pane. Prep opens it up, and shows me the field names that it's correctly identified. I can then pull in a second source of data. In this case the critic scores. I can then preform some clean up steps if I want to. Each of these files, so far, is independent of each other and we have two separate flows. However, in this example I might want to combine the two together. For that, I'm going to join them. I simply drag the output of one of these clean steps over the top of the other one until the join icon appears. I can then combine both of these data…
