Create dynamic reference lines
- [Instructor] Parameters allow to take an input from a user and use it in our visualization. A good use of this is a reference line. It might be the case if you wanna add a value into our view to compare our data against. In this example, we're looking at the number of orders per week in our data set. We'd like to create a reference line so we can see which weeks we were above or below a certain quantity. First, we need to create our parameter. First, let's name our parameter. We're gonna call it Selected Quantity. Our data type we're gonna change to an integer. This is because our quantity is an integer value. You only have one order, not half an order. Display format, we'll keep it automatic. We want a nice sliding range parameter. So we're gonna set our minimum and maximum values. In our view, we can see we have ranges from zero to just over 500. So let's change our minimum to be zero and our maximum to be 600. Step size, we'll keep as one. We now got our parameter, which we can…
