- [Narrator] You can summarize data in many ways using Tableau. But it takes time to create calculations for every level of detail you want to examine. Fortunately, you can use level of detail expressions in combination with the INCLUDE keyword, to create flexible calculations that display your results at the aggregation level you want. In this movie, I will show you how to use the INCLUDE keyword as part of your LOD expressions. My sample file is the Include Workbook, and you can find it in the Chapter06 folder of the exercise files collection. This workbook summarizes purchases for a number of hotels in different cities. I currently have it set up so that I'm displaying the property cities in the Rows area, or on the Rows shelf. What I'd like to do is to have Tableau compute the results of a calculation at the level defined by the dimensions currently displayed in the view. And that is where the INCLUDE keyword comes in.
