- [Instructor] When you analyze data in Tableau, you will often want to create a filter to limit the data that appears within your visualizations. In Tableau 9.1, there is a new feature introduced called creating calculations in dialogue boxes. And even though it's named that way, what you're actually doing is using auto complete to build formula based filters to focus the data. And in this movie, I will show you how to create those filters. My sample file is the dialogue box workbook, and you can find it in the chapter four folder of your exercise files collection. What I want to do is filter my visualizations so I only see values for spending that are greater than 28,000. I want to filter based on property city. So I only want to see cities where the corresponding spending value is greater than 28,000.
