Creating a condition filter
- When you analyze business data, you will often want to limit the range of values that you look at. For example, if you were looking at purchases for a set of hotels, then you might want to only see hotels that made purchases in excess of $28,000.00. In this movie I will show you how to create these condition based filters and my sample file is the condition workbook which you can find in the chapter 6 folder of your exercise files collection. To create a filter the first thing you need to do is add the field by which you want to filter to the filters area or to the filters card here. So I will go over to the data tab and I'll click Property City and click the down arrow and click show filter which moves that pill to the filters area. Then to display the filters dialog box I will double click the Property City pill which is within the filters card. And I'll drag the filter dialog box over to the right.
