Creating scatter plots

- [Instructor] When you bring data into Tableau, it's very likely that your data will have some sort of category associated with it. That category or non-numerical information could perhaps be a date or it could be a category of product or even the city in which a hotel is located. In this movie, I will show you how to compare two numerical values using scatter plots where one value is plotted on the vertical, or Y-axis, and the other is plotted on the horizontal, or X-axis. My sample file is the Scatter workbook and you can find that in the Chapter10 folder of your Exercise Files collection. This workbook contains data about two values. Visit Length, which is a number, and Visit Revenue, which is also a number. And I'd like to see the relationship between the length of time a customer stays at my hotel versus the amount of money that they spend in addition to just the basic room rate.
