Defining a filter action

- [Narrator] Dashboards provide useful summaries for your company's operations. Bringing in the most important values to a central location. In many cases, decisions require you to look at a subset of your data. Perhaps sales from estate or purchases by a department. In this movie, I will show you how to add a filter action to your dashboard to reflect those changes in focus. My sample file is the FilterAction Workbook. And you can find it in the chapter 13 folder of your exercise files collection. This dashboard contains three different visualizations: I have BaseData, ExpenseCategory, and ExpenseTrend. What I'd like to do is use BaseData as a filter. For example, if I only want to see the values for 2015 for housekeeping, then I want to be able to click that value with it as control and use it as a filter.
