- [Voiceover] Parameters will take an input from the user and allows to change the entire look of the dashboard. In this example we can use a parameter to create a dimension selector and then use that to choose which dimensions we're going to look at. First we need to create the parameter. We'll call it Selected Dimension. The data set we can change to a string and we want to have a list of values. So we're going to use region, category and segment. Do okay, we have our parameter which we're going to our view. The change in this doesn't do anything because we need to create a calculated field based on the value of that parameter. To do that we click create calculated field. We'll give it a name and now we need to use a formula to decide which value of our parameter we're going to use. So we'd use the case function.
