Editing, clearing, and deleting filters
- [Instructor] Filters help you focus on important data within your workbooks. However, when you're done using your filter, you can either edit it to change the focus or delete it to bring back all of your data. In this movie, I will show you how to edit and delete your filters. My sample file is the Edit Filters workbook and you can find it in the chapter six folder of your exercise files collection. This workbook already has a filter applied and it is the Product Category field that I'm using to limit the data that's included in the Purchase Total summary. If I want to see the filter, I can go to the filters card and double-click the Product Category pill, so I'll go ahead and double-click that. That displays the Filter dialogue box, and I see that on the General tab, I have selected Furnishings and Housekeeping only to display in the summary. If I wanted to include Maintenance, then I could check the Maintenance box and click Apply. Doing so updates the purchase totals so that…
