You can look for support for the desktop version, the server version, and so on. There are several articles on combining Tableau and R and I encourage you to look them up. Also, you can find data to work with from the UCI, that's University of California at Irvine, Machine Learning Repository at the URL you see here. It's a terrific collection. The data is free to use and I'm very grateful that they have put it together. The first book of two I'll recommend is the R Cookbook by Paul Teetor and it's published by O'Reilly Media.
