- [Instructor] While Tableu makes finding data a straightforward process, it can be difficult to count the number of rows displayed in a partition. In this movie, I'll show you how to calculate the number of rows in a partition and use it as a column in a table visualization. My sample file is the NumberOfRows workbook, and you can find it in the chapter seven folder of the exercise files collection. Now I do have to admit that, if you know where to look on the user interface, you can find the number of rows. And if you look here, at the bottom left corner on the status bar, you will see in fact 5,000 rows by one column. But instead, what I'd like to do is to show you how to put that data or value in the visualization itself so that your users don't have to go hunting for it. I'll create a calculated field, but instead of just doing the size and asking people to remember what it is that the number 5,000, in this case, stands for, I'm going to include it in a text string that is a…
