- [Instructor] Tableau and R seem to represent two ends of the data analysis spectrum. Tableau is a user-friendly data visualization program while R is a data processing language you mainly access through the command line. These differences are significant but they make the combination of the two environments much stronger than either one could ever be by itself. I'll give you an example of what I mean in this movie. My sample file is 01_02_Together. That's a Tableau workbook you can find in the Chapter 1 folder of the Exercise Files Collection. If you haven't connected Tableau to R, you won't be able to follow along with all of my steps. If that's the case, don't worry about it. I will show you how to create the visualization later in this course. In here I have created a scatterplot that shows sales and profit from those sales for a number of customers.
