- [Instructor] In order to follow along with this course, you're going to need to have a copy of Tableau Prep. This can be found at the URL www.tableau.com/support/releases/prep. Here you can find the current and previous versions of Tableau Prep. This course was recorded using the 2018.3 version, so in order to follow along, you'll need to download that specific version. Follow the link, and you can then download the appropriate file for your machine. If you're using a different version of Prep, some of the features may not be available to you, or may work in a slightly different way. In addition to Prep, you may also need a copy of Tableau Desktop. This is not essential to the course, but it's referred to in some of the later chapters when we talk about exporting data for using Tableau Desktop. If you want to do those parts of the course, then you will need a version of Tableau Desktop. This can also be downloaded from the support releases page, but under Desktop, and 2018.3. The data that we use for our exercises are in the Data folder. This consists of both Excel files, PDFs, CSVs, and some TDE files. In the demo folder, there are the exercise files used in each one of the courses, along with some other demo files that you can look at to understand some more flows. The challenges are in the challenge folder. These are the starting points for all of the challenge exercises. In the Solutions folder, you can find my solution to those exercises. These are what refer to in the solution videos.
