- [Instructor] I'm going to show you a typical workflow that you can build in Tableau Prep. This is going to look at the Superstore sample flow that comes as part of Prep. The output of this should be familiar to you if you've used Tableau Desktop as this is going to recreate the Superstore sales data set. Now the first thing you have to do with Prep is input some data. And in this particular Prep we have six inputs in total. First, we have four inputs for the south, east, west regions. When we input the data we have several different options now in this particular example it's a wildcard union. We can see that there are four files here that have been included and we can see the columns that have been imported in. We can see the data types, we can see the field names, and these sample values. Now the sample values are a really useful way of getting the flavor for what kind of data each column contains.
