Titles on your dashboard
- Dashboard titles tend to be one of those things that often gets overlooked. But they really shouldn't and you should really consider a good dashboard title. Now one of the reasons for this is the dashboard title is one of the first things that the viewer is going to see when they open up a dashboard. The title sets the scene for the rest of the dashboard because it informs the viewer of the subject of the dashboard and it tells them something about the scope of what they're going to be seeing within their dashboard. What answer is this going to give them? Essentially the title says, this is what the dashboard shows. Now a good title not only helps the viewer, it also helps us as a dashboard designer because this helps us build the dashboard. Because what we can think about is after we've named our dashboard correctly we can then think about does this element help to answer the question that this dashboard is trying to answer?
