Tooltips

- [Instructor] Tooltips are a fantastic way of adding extra information into our view, but without adding it to the view itself. To understand what I mean, let's take a look at our scatter-plot. Each point represents one customer and is placed in accordance with their sales and their profit. If hover one of the marks, we can see some information about each point. We get the customer name, the region, the profit, and the sales. But it might be useful to also know what state they're from. To do that, we can add State to the Detail. So in this case, this customer is from Washington State. We could also add additional information about this particular customer. For example the amount of discount they get. We don't want this to appear as part of our view, only in the Tooltip. So if we take Discount and put it on Tooltip, now when we hover over, we get that extra bit of information. This hasn't cluttered the view in any way and it's only there when we hover over the Tooltip. This is what…
