Visualize data for logistic regression in Tableau
- One way to preform logistic regression is to divide entities into two categories. That is, make a binary or binomial choice between one category or another. In this movie, I will show you one way to set up a tableau workbook so that you can display that data coherently. My sample file is 06_03_LogisticsSetup and you can find it in the Chapter Six folder of the Exercise Files collection. I have already set up my workbook and you can see that, over on the left, I have a number of dimensions, patron ID, years one through five, and also last year. However, I need to work with year one through five, in this case, as a measure. What the year one through year five fields contain are ones or zeros for a given year and that indicates whether a customer donated in a specific year. So rather than dimensions, we need to make them measures. So under Dimensions, I will click Year1. Then, holding down the Shift key, click Year5,…
