What you should know

- [Instructor] In order to follow along this course, there are a few things you need to know. First, you should be familiar with the Tableau interface and most of the terminology used. It's good if you know how to connect to data and build visualizations. We're going to be making a lot of dashboards so if you know how to build a basic dashboard, that'd be a really good thing. If you want to know more about how to use Tableau then check out my course on Tableau for data science and for some information on how to create good visualizations themselves, check out my course Data Vis Tips and Tricks. The files you need for this course can be found in your exercise files. This contains both starters and solutions for all the exercises, and also some data sources and shapefiles. The data sources should be copied into your data source folder within your My Tableau Repository. This could be usually found in your My Documents folder in both your Windows and your Mac environment. You'll also need a couple of images for shapes. These can also be found in the My Tableau Repository directory. Simply take the Info Buttons folder and put it inside the Shape folder.
