How to take conversations offline
- [Instructor] As a social selling practitioner and evangelist, I get asked if social selling is replacing completely the traditional sales model. The short answer to this is not even close. In order to succeed, you need to embed in new-age Twitter social selling tactics with your existing traditional prospecting cadence so you can accelerate the entire sales process. That's why the term social selling can be easily misunderstood because of its own name. In the overall social selling framework, when you get to the point where you feel that you've earned your buyer's trust and you know that your buyer can benefit from your product or service, that's the time when you need to begin to consider taking your online conversations offline in order to show them a demo or move the deal to the next stage. To do this effectively, you need to continuously assess if the deal's progressing based on certain social metrics, such as social touchpoints. Here's a basic formula to illustrate my point…
