How to create USDZ

- [Speaker] In this video, we'll see how to create a USDZ file. Create a new Unity project. USDZ, Create, turn on the origin rate lightening. The way we are going to create a USDZ file is we are going to import a 3D FPX or OBJ model inside unity, along with textures and we will use Unity's USDZ converter plugin to add that 3D model and textures into USDZ file. So let's do that. Go to Window, Package Manager, click the drop down here where it says Advanced and select Show Preview Packages. Search for USD in the search bar and install it. Now let's download a 3D model from TurboSquid. So go to TurboSquid.com. Let's download a chair model. Click on the Price filter and we need a free model. I'll choose this one. Download. Download the FBX file and the Textures.RAR. After it's downloaded, unpack it. And let's import the textures and the model inside Unity. Let's set up the chair model. Create two materials, one metallic material for this and a leather material for the seat. Create, Material, Metallic. Let's make this one and add it right here. Let's create another material for the seat. Legacy Shaders, Defuse, Standard. Add it right here. Let's make this a little more brown. This looks fine. And right now the back of the chair is in the direction of negative Z-axis. So when we place this on the floor we'll see the back of the chair and we don't want that. We want to see the front of the chair. So let's rotate this by 180. Now it's fine. And to prevent the rotation property from resetting, let's create an empty object and let's name this Chair. Reset it. And add this as a child loft chair. The chair is ready. Go to USD at the top and click on Export Selected as USDZ. I'll store this in my desktop and I name this Chair Model, Save, and this will create a USDZ file. ChairModel.USDZ. So that's all for this video and I'll see you in the next one.
