- [Narrator] Hi there. When you work with Unity's new terrain tools, you can paint highly realistic textures. So let's take a look at how to do this. Now, before we get started, I have installed the new terrain tools in Unity. So if we scroll down here, you'll see we have terrain tools here, and I've also downloaded and installed these assets samples. So I'm at 3.02, you may actually have a later version but this should work with anything above that. So I have this scene and I painted a terrain into the scene. If we select that terrain and go over to paint terrain, you'll see, we have a number of sculpting tools and I covered these last week but the one I didn't cover was paint texture. This allows you to not only paint textures, but materials and these are basically PBR or physically based rendering materials. So we work with this by basically adding what are called layers.
