Prefabs
- [Instructor] In this video, we learn about prefabs. In simple words, a prefab is a template which you can use again and again to save time. We are going to understand prefabs by creating a very simple 3D scene. This is how it looks like. So this 3D scene has three setups. Each setup has the same box model which has the same texture applied to it and which has the same animation component. So if you go to Hierarchy and click on any one of the box models, you will see in the Inspector window that it has a ScaleAnimation component. And the only difference between these three setups is that each one has a different unique shape on top of it. So how do we create these? The first idea which will come to your mind is that we can instantiate the 3D box model three times, and then add the same texture to each one of these box models one by one, and then add the animation component to each of these box models one by one, and…
