- [Narrator] Unity's a cross-platform graphic engine which is used to create games for desktop systems, mobile devices, consoles, and web. Since last few years, it has been heavily used to create AR and VR apps as well. To create an AR app, two main things are required: a graphic engine or a game engine, which can handle 3D models, the ability to change appearance of the model using colors and textures, scripting different behaviors and simulations, adding animations and user interface. So this is all done in Unity. The second thing required to create an AR app is the ability to recognize and map the environment around the user so that he can place virtual 3D models in the real world environment. making sure they look well-integrated with the real world.
