What is augmented reality?

- [Man] Have you ever played Pokemon Go, in which you can catch and train Pokemon characters in the real locations? I'm sure you have tried these doggy-faced filters at least once. Or, have you ever tried to place virtual furniture in your room, and see how it looks before you actually buy it? Well, all these are examples of augmented reality. So in simple words, augmented reality, or AR, is computer generated content, overlaid on a real world environment. So this Pokemon that you see, is a digital 3D model placed in the real world environment. And similarly, this chair that you see on the floor, is actually a digitally generated 3D model, that forms the illusion of it being present in the real world environment.
