What is occlusion?

- In an AR experience on your device, you'll see that the virtual object blocks the real object even though the virtual object is present behind the real object. So for example in this AR experience if I move my hand in front of the camera, you can see even though the virtual chair is present far behind my hand still the virtual chair blocks the view of my hand instead of the opposite. That is my hand blocking the virtual chair. Occlusion in AR refers to correcting this phenomenon, such that the real objects block virtual objects that are located behind them.
