An introduction to ARFoundation
- [Instructor] In this chapter, we are going to create our first AR app. This is how it looks like. Previously, we learned that to create an AR app, we need two things, a graphic engine, which is Unity, and an AR package which can map and recognize the user environment. We have already learned about Unity, now let's look at the AR package. In the last video of Chapter One of this course, we saw the top companies working on AR solutions. We learned that Google's ARCore package is used to create AR apps for Android devices, and Apple's ARKit package is used to create AR apps for iOS devices. Now, these are two different frameworks. So if we have to create an AR app for both platforms, we have to create two different Unity projects with two different frameworks. What if there was a way to create a single Unity AR project and deploy it to both iOS and Android platforms? This would save us a lot of time. Well, thankfully…
