Dos and don'ts on game design documents
- [Instructor] Before moving on to the next chapter, let's consider some general game design dos and don'ts and these are some high-level tips that I recommend you keep in mind when creating your game design documents if you want them to be effective. Step number one is don't assume everybody enjoys reading. Keep your documents concise, no longer than necessary, and easy to read. You don't want your document to become the one that nobody else but you reads. Being presented by masses and masses of text without any kind of break or imagery can be really off-putting. So make sure you keep your game design documents no longer than they need to be. Number two is make your design documents visual. Use visual references, sketches, screenshots, and images to make the content more colorful and interesting.
