- [Instructor] Now that the model and the views are all ready for export, we have three different strategies we can take to get this geometry into Unity. The first is to send it directly into Unity by exporting an fbx. Fbx is a common file format for moving 3D models from one 3D program to another. Unfortunately the way that Revit exports an fbx is not fully readable by Unity, and so some information is lost when you go directly from Revit into Unity. Furthermore, using 3DS Max allows for some tweaks and improvements that can be very valuable later on. So if you have 3DS Max, or access to it, I highly recommend using it in some capacity. If you're using 3DS Max as part of your work flow then our work in Revit is done. You just save this file and you can link it into 3DS Max. Then once we're in 3DS Max our two options are to export our fbx there to pass into Unity, or to let Unity import those 3DS Max files directly.
