- Now you might think that creating a game design document was just about going into Microsoft office, Libra office, Google docs and creating a text-based document for other people to read in the form of a PDF or a document file. Well, that's one way you can make a game design document and many people do indeed use that method but that's not the only way. There are dedicated game design programs and applications out there which are used for creating both documents themselves and also interactive documents that are dynamic and can change over time. We're going to look here two different tools that can do this. And I'm going to demonstrate how to create a basic game design and how to get started using one of those tools here, specifically hacknplan.
