- [Instructor] Remove sound effects and music in any movie to the R3D, and you get a boring experience. Adding music to your movie truly adds and enhances the mood of the scene and what the audience should feel about it. A VR film is no exception. As any director and composer will discuss, when you get to the music, you want to grasp exactly what should be felt throughout all the story beats of your film. What is the focus of the story at this beat? Who are we supposed to pay attention to, or what? What is the emotion you want to feel at this point? All these questions will help determine how the music should be composed, then, with these notes, we move on to our DAW, in this case, Ableton Live, where we can compose the music and sound effects all in this one tool.
