- [Narrator] Before we start filling up this project with assets, let's take just a second to talk about the organization of a unity project. There are lots of different strategies that different people use and different strategies are better for different projects, but the most important thing is that you have a clear strategy at the beginning and that you stick with that strategy. First thing, let's start with an import folder. You can right-click here anywhere in the assets window and say create folder. Then I'll name it import. I like to have an imports folder as a staging area. When I first bring things in, before I've really gotten them ready to be a part of my scene yet, they can exist there and then I can move them into a more permanent location as the project moves forward. It's also helpful to have a folder to save your scenes in because as time goes on, you'll have other data that goes along with your scenes like light pegs and and so on.
